Mariam Eloshvili

I am MA student at University of Warsaw, studying Bioarchaeology and Near East. My interest  in archaeology is Neolithic way of life in Caucasus and Near Eats.

I have graduated  BA from Tbilisi State University and my thesis was about Architecture of Shomu-Shulaveri Culture, which is  Late Neolithic culture in southern Caucasus.

Currently I am working on my MA thesis, what includes research of worked bone tools from Shomu-Shulaveri Culture settlement.

I have worked in several archaeological excavations and surface survey  – Gadachrili gora (Georgia); Mentesh Tepe (Azerbaijan); Zveli’s Rabati (Georgia); Damirgaya (Georgia); survey in Marneuli Valley (Georgia); survey in Javakheti region (Georgia);

Hobby: doing some small experiments in archaeology, trying to make some bone and stone tools, ceramic vessels and figurines, sometimes even houses.

On this page you can find my small research on a few lamps from different parts of modern territory of Georgia.
